HMS Pandora, 1770

The HMS Pandora is a museum quality maritime ship model. This vessel was launched in 1779 and is best known for being sent to capture Fletcher Christian and the mutineers of Bligh's Bounty in 1790. She was wrecked on the Great Barrier Reef off the Australian coast in 1791.

Made with solid Mahogany, Walnut and Lime woods. Individually hand-nailed with double plank on frame construction.

Each board of the hull and deck is custom fit into place and hand oiled to a lustrous fine finish.

There are numerous solid brass accents including twenty-two cannon, stern lanterns and ornamentation.

The hand painted precise details throughout the ship adds a beautiful touch of authenticity.

This ship has been dry rigged for maximum viewing of the intricacy and quality of the rigging workmanship.

It includes all standing, running and flying rigging. Nothing is left off and no lines touch each other. All ratlines are individually tied all the way across the shrouds.

A custom case prevents harm and ensures lasting beauty while perfectly completing this fine work of art. We always recommend this option.

Made of Cherry with solid exotic Jatoba wooden keel support and edge accents. Vertical stiles have solid Cherry center with Jatoba edging.

The engraved nameplate is also mounted on Jatoba. The woods are hand rubbed with numerous coats of sealer and fine natural oils to create a radiant lustrous finish.

The enclosure is made of durable, shatter resistant Optix. Ideal illumination from above is achieved by utilizing a low voltage halogen light with a simple 110 volt on/off switch cord.

HMS Pandora is an investment ship model of a beautiful frigate that is certain to endure the true test of time. A custom creation which is also available in a multitude of configurations including under full sail.
