Our 1/350th and 1/200th enhanced scale models of the USS Hampton SSN 767, a United States Navy Improved Los Angeles Class Submarine, represents the finest in master craftsmanship. Built by Master Ship Model Builders with more than 35 years experience.

USS Hampton is an improved LA Class that was launched in April of 1992, the 54th vessel of her class. The improved class gave her hardened sails as well as experimental French designed swing wing front dive planes. These were later replaced with a stiletto type retractable bow plane.

Los Angeles class submarines are capable of conducting intelligence gathering operations, sea denial, delivering special forces units in areas where surprise and secrecy is essential and delivery precision strikes to land based targets hundreds of miles inland.

Am impressive vessel fully outfitted. Armed with Tomahawk missiles from 12 VLS-tubes, four 533 mm torpedo tubes for MK-48 torpedoes, Harpoon missiles and the ability to lay mines.

Multi-purpose Tomahawk cruise missiles can be launched from the vertical tubes located in the ship's bow or from the ship's torpedo tubes.

As is suiting of a ship with such national historical significance, our realistic Los Angeles Class Submarine models are not to be compared with the machine made import versions. We build each one by hand in the USA using only professional grade materials.

Enhanced with exterior detailing including air brushed highlights including water reflections and weathering. This makes for a much more interesting model to view than just a simple single color. We use brass propellers, drive shafts and brass or stainless pedestals.

Each model is mounted on a natural wood base. Shown below on a VERY rare and exotic Rope Grain Mahogany which is finished in numerous coats of Polycrylic for a durable high gloss finish to bring out the unique grain detail of the stunning wood.

A protective flame polished clear acrylic cover and custom engraved brass nameplate are included for a top quality professional finish.
